The Apostle Paul writes to the members of Thessalonians church stating don’t be shaken in mind and don’t be troubled. You know, the human mind can be guided by God, by Spirit and by devil. And the atmosphere of the visual environment can strongly affect the human mind. But a person who is born of God is a spiritual man and his mind must be under the direction of God’s Spirit.

When we weaken in spiritual life, our mind loses the ability of being guided by the Spirit of God. Therefore, the Apostle Paul warns us don’t be shaken in mind, don’t be troubled neither by spirit, nor by word and letter.

What does it mean “don’t be shaken in mind”? Our thoughts must be concentrated upon Jesus Christ and the Gospel. We don’t need to be angry, be terrified, be anxious, fall into depression, but we need to able to keep our mind in peace, righteousness and holiness.

A question may arise: “How to keep the mind in peace, righteousness and holiness, while living in this world we may see violence, experience difficulties and have problems?”

Beloved, believe me, all the terrors and difficulties can be overcome with the help of the Lord. When it is difficult and you feel that your mind begins to waver, just take the Bible, start reading it and praying, and make sure that your mind is being filled with pacification, righteousness and holiness.

You’re able to control own mind through Word of God and prayer, and all the negative thoughts, anxieties and terrors will leave you. Amen.
