The world has a pattern or an image, which is attractive and many like it. But the Word of God says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world”. The image of the world is attractive for the body, but not for the spirit.

A man consists of spirit, soul and body. If we are led by the spirit, our soul and body agree with the spirit. Then our body could become a temple of God. But if we are led by the body, our soul and spirit simply stay in bondage and submit to the body.

The apostle Paul calls us in the Epistle of Romans not to be conformed to the image of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Then we will be able to test what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. To be transformed by the renewing of our mind means we need to experience reformation of mind. We can never reach new things in life unless we leave the old. The Apostle Paul says, “forgetting those things which are behind he reaches forward” to those things which are ahead, that is he leaves the old thoughts behind and goes forward.

Beloved, my challenge today is to fulfill the will of God and be perfect to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
