We are going to review the book of Thessalonians for this week. There are such deep thoughts in this book, which are very important for our lives.

In today’s word, you can see how the Apostle Paul discovers the secret of church’s power. He thanks God, because the faith of believers grows exceedingly and everyone’s love towards each other increases.

We often can see how people try to live with faith only. Undoubtedly, faith is the most important thing in life of Christian.  The Christ said: “…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). Without faith, we can’t have any successes neither in our personal life nor in the church’s ministry.

Church becomes stronger not only when faith grows, but also when love increases along with the faith. The church, Apostle Paul is writing about, was endowed with both faith and love and the Lord was giving supernatural revelations to them. When you read the epistles of Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians, you can find out that those are not usual scriptures. There are deep revelations regarding the last days, and nowadays we live with those revelations.

Thereby, the Lord calls us to grow faith and increase love of ours. As a pastor, I would not want to see the church’s members filled ONLY with love; since in this case the church will turn into an organization led with humanitarian conceptions only. Our adoration of God becomes obvious only when our faith grows day by day.

The faith cannot grow if we don’t read and listen to the God’s Word, since it’s written that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Therefore, when we stay in the prayer and the word of God and decide to love people, our faith and love grow.

Beloved, I encourage you to grow your faith and increase your love towards both God and people. Then you will receive deep revelations from the God, which will help you to move forward in Christian life. Amen.
