It’s the third day, since we started to talk about the church and clarify for ourselves what it is actually. We learnt, where two or three are gathered together in the name of Jesus Christ, it is already church, where God’s presence exists. Church is an assembly, where the central place belongs to the Christ and where His Name is being glorified.
The God’s Word says that when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place and then the Holy Spirit came down upon them. Note that the power of the Holy Spirit came down upon them when they gathered.
Beloved, the devil wants to estrange people from each other, so that they not gather and communicate. Look what is happening around – the Internet is substitute for live human communication. However, believe me; it cannot replace God’s presence.
The time is coming, when the people will not need to go for shopping and the foodstuff, clothing and other goods will be ordered by the Internet. But there are two places, where losing a live communication with each other is simply unacceptable – it is a family and the church.
Today, devil is attacking people in these areas of life, so that people have no opportunity for creating a family and attending the church, just because Jesus Christ said: “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them”.
And not only in the church but also in the family, when two or three people start talking about Jesus Christ, that place is being filled with His presence. Of course, devil does not tolerate this, because he hates the Lord. He does everything in order to prevent the existence of God’s presence in the world.
This is the reason we must come to our senses and start attending church. Perhaps you think that God’s presence will be there even without you, because there always will be two or three who will gather in the name of God. Please know that your presence is very important. Do not look at others, you should know that by attending church you do the mission, after all the Lord is glorified not only in His people, but does the signs and miracles in our lives as well. Amen.
