And here is the 12th blessing which brings the fear of the Lord. We can continue the list of all these blessings, however, so far we are going to talk about these twelve only.

The fear of the Lord protects us against every kind of sins. Moses says that the God is coming in order to prove us and that His fear may be before our faces so that we do not sin.

Remember the following verse in the prayer of “Our Father”: “…And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…”. We need to have the fear in order to resist temptations and do not commit a sin. The fear of the LORD is the greatest security for us.

People often ask if the whole essence of the Christianity for people is not committing a sin. Isn’t there another way? No beloved, there is no other way. When we read the Bible we understand how powerful and victorious life we can have living with the God. The Holy Scripture shows the way on how we can please the God, ho we can be good servants in the church, have a wonderful relationships with the members of our family, love each other, be not rejected, live and become as individuals in the society, in one word to live in the earth under the heavenly blessings. However, in order to achieve all these we just need to be free from the sin, since it builds a wall between the God and us, closes the doors of our blessings.

A sin comes from Satan in order to take a man to hell, since it is written: “For the wages of sin is death”. Only the fear of the Lord will protect us against the sin and deliver us from it.

When you commit a sin but ask the Lord to cleanse of your sins, He hears your prayer to cleanse you, but after a while, you commit a sin again. It is time for you to say: “Lord the God, please give your fear so that I do not sin anymore”.

Remember what Jesus said to the woman: “Go and sin no more” (John 8:11). I am sure that the woman went full of the fear of the Lord.

Have the fear of the Lord and you will not sin. Amen.
